Last month, our student council visited and organization called "Dream of a Future". "Dream of a Future" is a fundation for poor children whose parents can't afford better education and care, for different reasons. Some children attend the organization since they are only months old. Since the students do not pay much to attend, the school's resoures and staff are limited. Despite being very economic, after a few months of attending, some children have to leave the school because they can't afford it anymore.
For our 20 time project, Jenny G. and I are planning on doing fundraising activites inside and outside of our own school to raise money to provide scholarships for those kids who are unable to attend because of their economic issues. The scholarships are around 8,000-10,000 baht per child.
We were motivated to do this after we visited the organization, because the kids are very sweet and young and since they are unable to pay their education, we want to help them. The only thing I am anxious and a bit concerned about is money. We are planning on raising as much as possible through multiple sales and events, but I am still a bit unsure of how it will work out. Despite this, I am confident that we will be able to help at least a couple of kids who cannot afford the school to continue their education.
