Project: Using Functions to Create Art

 

In this activity, we used creativity and understanding of functions to show how they can be used to create pictures. Even though these may appear simple, we had to dictate the domain and range on your graphing calculator and hand drawn picture. We needed to recall how to limit a domain and follow your rules of transformations for a combination of linear, rational, radical, and/or polynomial functions.

 

I decided to do a ballerina. I typed in the function of each line into my graphing calculator, limited the doman and range so that it would only show where I wanted it to, and then graphed everything together.
