Harper Lee's To Kill A Mockingbird

 

Although this was not a unit itself, here I will display the different projects and assignments done while reading the book.

 

Every week, we had to do chapter summaries. We would read 5-10 chapters every week, and then divide the chapters into groups in the class, so each group would make a summary of their assigned chapter. By the end of the book, we had had 6 of these assignments, plus 3 quizzes. 

 

We also had an assignment on mapping Maycomb. As we read the book, we would have to locate and put every place we knew on a map. 

 

Another minor project we had was creating a facebook profile for a character of the book which would be assigned to us by the teacher. I was assigned Boo Radley.

Our last assignment on To Kill A Mockingbird, was to create a movie poster for an updated version of the movie. We had to look up potential actors that could act the different parts, and then put the whole thing together.
